Heartbeat Country Goathland, otherwise known as Aidensfield, is the setting for the TV seres Heartbeat. Just a short stroll away from the cottages you will see the Aidensfield Arms, Scripps Garage and other beloved sights from the ITV series. The North York Moors Steam Railway Goathland station is only ten minutes walk from the cottages and is one of the stops on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway line. As well as featuring in Heartbeat it was also used as Hogsmeade station in Harry Potter. A day trip on the train is the traditional way to enjoy the sights and history of the North Yorkshire Moors. |
Whitby Whitby has beautiful beaches, great activities for the whole family and possibly the best fish and chips in the entire world! Sandsend A wonderful little seaside village. Home to the lovely Hart Inn where you can get a delicious lunch or if you prefer a spot of afternoon tea you could try Raithwaites Country House Hotel. Robin Hoods Bay This famous seaside village has so much to offer. As well as the restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops there is Saint Stephens Church, the Robin Hoods Bay Museum and the breathtaking view of the bay. |
